See Creatures Select a Date About this Adventure Join us for an in-person encounter with some of the creatures that call the Gulf of Mexico and Choctawhatchee Bay home. This living lab begins with a brief overview of the water that surrounds us, and what makes it a unique environment for a wide variety of living things. Next, it’s time to head down to the shoreline for some exploration using tools like our seine net (a large fishing net with floats at the top and weights at the bottom) to gather creatures for a closer look. We’ll learn some fun fast facts about the animals and even have the chance to safely touch them before returning them home and learning what you can do to protect them.
